The new comers are showing great challenge and the team is warning other teams to train hard otherwise, these lads are determined and will be difficult for other teams to win against the dynamic and committed young team. As they said; they have been waiting for this opportunity of being recognized by the federation (RRF) and are now it official member and being part of the teams participating at the National League is just a great opportunity for the team.

The team is located in Western province of Rwanda and this makes it hard for them to travel around to play with other teams. Last Saturday the team traveled nearly 5 hours to get to Kamonyi. The Pumas were happy to host them but did not expect such a challenge from the visitors who had just spend most their time travelling.

As the referee Itanzi Jean Baptiste said; the Rusizi team only luck proper coaching, otherwise they can take on any other teams. They have won all their games so far and will host the UR Grizzlies next week end in Rusizi.

In Butare, the UR Grizzlies hosted their rivals Muhanga RFC and demonstrated a very good performance which help them win on a very tight score of 12-10 against the young team from Muhanga.

In Kigali on Sunday 21st February 2016, the Lions de Fer RFC hosted the Kigali Sharks RFC at the Red Cross ground. It was not easy to the host who faced the very defensive side of the Sharks. It was difficult to the Lions de Fer scrum to win the balls because NGIZWENAYO Barnabe, the Sharks hooker shown that he is experience and managed to win almost all of the Lions scrums. Even if the final whistle was blown while the Lions was still ahead with a score of 17-10, the Kigali Sharks gave them a hard battle.
